Sony (AT & T) Building

The AT & T building, which is now known as the Sony building is Located on 55st & Madison Ave. The building was constructed in 1984. It is a 37 story high building in Midtown Manhattan. The sony building was designed by the architect, Philip Johnson and his Collegue John Burgee. One of the buildings best feature is the entrance. It's arched entrance is seven stories in height. In the bottom, it is being used as stores for sony products,

Citigroup Center

The Citigroup Center (Citicorp Center) Is located in 54st & Madison Ave of Midtown Manhattan. It is one of the largest skyscrapers in New York City. The architect who designed the building was Hugh Stubbins Jr. The building was completed in 1977. The Citigoup building has 59 floors. It is 915 feet (279m) high. The building is known for its unique 45 angled top and its base, which has a one of a kind stilt-style.

Lipstick Building

The Lipstick building is a located in 53st & 3rd avenue. The building got it's name becuase of its lipstick design shape. The building was cmpleted in 1986. The building designers were John Burgee and Philip Johnson. It has 34 floors. The Lipstick building is 453 feet (138m) tall. It is used for commercial offices.

Louis Kahn Video

Louis Kahn was born in Kuressaare on 1901. He was a reconginzed architect. He was from a Russian family and a hardworking man. He was an architect for many buildings around the world. He died in Penn Station of New York City. Noone knew the cause of his death. It took a couple of days for the police to identify his body. A great architect was gone.

About Me QUEEN JACKY

My name is Jacky Quizhpi. I am a 17 year old Ecuadorian girl. I currently live in the heart of Queens, Ny. I was born and raised in the Lower East Side.
I was missing gym credits and my teachers enrolled me in the New Design summer program. In the program we study differnt sky scrappers in New York City. We go on tours around the city to take pictures of skyscrappers. We learn about the history of the building and write about it.

The Chrysler Building was built in May 27, 1930. The Architect Of this building was Willam Van Alen, he was hired by Walter P. Chrysler. The building is 1,047 ft (319 meters) tall. The chrysler building has 77 floors. The style of the building is art deco. It is a commercial office tower.
